Project of the Month - May 2

Lately we have done a lot of wallpaper removal, like in this harbour view Lane Cove apartment.

The bad thing about wallpaper – you never know what it covers! Often there are patches, damages or uneven surfaces underneath of it. This unit had very rough porous concrete walls that never were painted before. They required full skimming to fill in those pores before painting.

My great friends on Chanel 9 Design Show

I wrote about this audition to the new Chanel 9 Design Show "From the Ground Up" back in March. Guess what?!

My very-very dear friends Kon & Tamryn got selected for the show!!! The challenge massive - they have just 8 weeks to build a house from scratch! Show starts filming today and will go on screen in September. I'm upset we would not nave a chance to vote for them – the competition is for the largest final value of the building, not for the viewers favourite.

God luck guys! Make us proud!

Project of the Month - May 1

As strange as it sounds, from time to time we are asked by other painters to do some spray painting job for them. This Northwood residence was one of such projects.

Spray painting is highly skilled job. A majority of painters would not take it - it is easy to mess up and very hard to fix. So they may call a skilled spray painting specialist like Ol' Painting to do a spraying part of their project.

Normally it takes at least one day to safely cover all surfaces that are not going to be sprayed. But after this an entire house can be sprayed in few hours! Overall it is a great time saving and an excellent end result!

Flying high!

What an amazing weekend we had! Our team & few friends went skydiving with Skydive the Beach at Wollongong. There is not better team building exercise! It was my 13th jump, a 2nd jump for our manager Oleksandra, and the 1st for Dmitry and everyone else.

We jumped at 3500m high - the highest skydive in Australia. You have 60 sec of a free fall and another 5 minutes of a calm descent after the parachute opened. You fly over the gorgeous shoreline, beaches & cliffs of the South Coast!
